A highly efficient asymmetric hydrogenation of racemic α-arylaldehydes via dynamic kinetic resolution has been developed by using [RuCl 2 (SDPs)(diamine)] complexes as catalysts, providing chiral primary alcohols in excellent enantioselectivities.
