In an earlier paper by Singley and and Black (“Hydrolysis Products of Iron (III),” Journal AWWA, 59:1549 (Dec. 1967)) the hydrolysis of iron (III) in dilute aqueous solution was studied by alkalimeteric potentiometric titrations. The data were analyzed by use of a regression analysis to obtain instantaneous concentration quotients for a series of hydrolysis reactions. In this paper, the data of Singley and Black for the hydrolysis of iron (III) in dilute aqueous solution has been reanalyzed to yield a new set of concentration quotients.
