The authors examine via conjoint methodology the influence of country of origin on product evaluations. The results show the influence of country of origin to be relatively weak when it is considered as one cue in an array of product cues. The results also suggest that neither product familiarity nor respondent nationality has a moderating influence on country-of-origin effects.
