Clinical study demonstrates improved Eustachian tube ventilation in pediatric allergic rhinitis, highlighting the efficacy of combining laser therapy with ultraphonophoresis.
A total of 134 children aged 3–18 years with allergic rhinitis and occult Eustachian tube dysfunction were examined and treated. All patients received pharmacotherapy in accordance with current clinical guidelines. In addition, a subset of children underwent conventional laser therapy. A separate group received a comprehensive treatment regimen combining pharmacotherapy, laser therapy, and ultraphonophoresis of Fermencol. This article presents the results of applying a comprehensive approach using the original method. The main therapeutic targets were allergen elimination and reduction of mucosal edema in the nasal cavity and paranasal structures, which facilitates restoration of sinonasal ventilation pathways and normalization of Eustachian tube ventilation.
