Although physicians think that tuberculosis (TB) is a disease of the 19th century or limited to ethnic minorities and those with coexistent disease such as AIDS, TB remains with us and can strike any individual. The diagnosis, especially in the early stages of the disease, may be problematic, especially if it is not considered likely. However, older techniques such as Ga-67 citrate may well have the edge over newer techniques when it comes to diagnosing this “old time” disease.
