Provides detailed UV and visible radiation transmission data on several types of protective eyewear excluding anti-laser radiation glasses and sunglasses. Results are presented for three groups of appliances: (i) UV protective goggles for medical use; (ii) industrial anti-glare eyeshields and spectacles; and (iii) goggles for welders. Although many goggles conform to British Standards it is shown that these may not be relevant when choosing protective eyewear for protection from UV radiation produced by lamps used in hospital clinics and laboratories. Basic UV and visible radiation transmission data are presented which might not otherwise be readily available.
