Probable reverse and forward slow shocks were found in plasma and magnetic-field data from Pioneer 8. The shocks were oblique and weak (Mach∼1.2). Numerous nonshocklike discontinuities were found with B1≠B2 and n1≠n2. It was observed that discontinuities with B1≠B2, n1=n2 seldom if ever occur.
