The nature of education is explored, with particular reference to the contrast between didactic and dynamic objectives. In this context, questions are raised about the effectiveness of the classroom as a vehicle for bringing about the behavioral and relational changes which appear to be necessary for the significant improvement of family life. As a basis for comparison, the environment provided by a marriage and family enrichment group is cited as a more promising setting for initiating relational readjustment.
