Identifies user archetypes and a method for safe AI integration, suggesting improved productivity with human oversight.
The rapid integration of generative artifcial intelligence (AI) and agentic workflows into professional and academic environments has created a distinct pro-ductivity divide. Despite the proven capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate data processing and research output, adoption remains highly polarized.Users typically fall into bimodal extremes: either drastically under-utilizing the technology due to skepticism regarding data privacy and output validity, or over-relying on automated outputs without suffcient human-in-the-loop verifcation. This paper introduces the AI UsageTaxonomy, classifying users into four distinct operational archetypes: The Chronic Watcher, The Cautious Skeptic,The Over-Reliant Operator, and The Strategic Orchestrator. Furthermore, it presents the Escalation Map, a structured, step-by-step methodology designed to transition users safely across these levels. By applying constraint based prompting frameworks and stringent verifcation protocols, this model provides a standardized path way for achieving high-yield productivity while maintaining absolute human authority and ethical data practices.
