“In ADVANCE OUTCOMES, ralinepag reduced the risk of clinical worsening, decreased NT-proBNP levels, and improved exercise capacity in lower risk, heavily pretreated PAH patients, underscoring the potential benefits of a once-daily prostacyclin receptor agonist. Ralinepag also provided benefit soon after treatment initiation and maintained durability of effect over several years. This study included a more functional patient population compared with other event-driven PAH studies, suggesting that early escalation of therapy may be beneficial for people living with this progressive, life-threatening disease.”
