Industries today must create new structures that are lighter, use less resources, and keep the same mechanical performance. Among the various types of materials, the auxetic ones are very interesting due to their negative Poisson's ratio and properties such as higher indentation resistance, higher shear modulus, fracture toughness, and sound absorption. Therefore, the main goal of this paper is to present a summary of the works that have been published in the literature about the fatigue behavior of auxetic materials. It was possible to conclude that auxetic structures can provide an improvement in fatigue behavior when compared to a non-auxetic structure, however, the studies available in the literature are not sufficient to establish a complete knowledge about their fatigue response. In this context, this subject should be addressed in future works.
