Why the study?
The pathophysiological mechanism of tako-tsubo cardiomyopathy is not fully understood, though it can rarely be triggered by endocrinologically active tumors.
This case report highlights that extra-adrenal paraganglioma can be a rare cause of takotsubo cardiomyopathy, which resolves upon tumor resection.
Paraganglioma may trigger Takotsubo; leaves open whether endocrine tumors warrant screening in recurrent cases.
