Dozens of insurers, provider organizations, medical societies and behavioral health leaders have signed a new U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) voluntary pledge aimed at improving the quality and delivery of mental health and substance use disorder care nationwide. Announced July 29 by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the National Behavioral Health Quality and Best Practices Voluntary Pledge calls on participants to advance evidence‐based treatment, improve access to care and strengthen accountability for outcomes.
