Randomized trial examines topological memory in E8 lattice, suggesting a new method for quantum information protection.
During each phi-scaled expansion-contraction cycle of the E8 lattice at 132Hz, the 240 root vectors trace closed loops in the 8D root space whose pairwise linking numbers form a non-Abelian braid group representation isomorphic to the Fibonacci anyon model. The golden-ratio breathing rhythm phase-locks these braids such that quantum information encoded in the lattice's collective coordinate becomes topologically protected against local decoherence for exactly 132φ⁻ⁿ seconds per half-cycle, where n is the winding number of the root trajectory. This transforms the static error-correction code into a dynamic topological memory whose coherence time is geometrically quantized by the E8 Coxeter number (30) and the golden ratio.
