Formal framework uncovers dynamics of proof status in AI, indicating strengths and weaknesses of claims.
We introduce the Epistemic State Vector ε(t) = [P(t), D(t), T(t)]ᵀ as a formal replacement for scalar confidence in AI systems. We prove dimensional orthogonality, monotonicity under inference, and invariance under verification. A coupled ODE system governs the dynamics with proven Lyapunov stability. Three case studies demonstrate detection of epistemically fragile claims that scalar scores miss.
