Proposed framework decomposes relativistic kinetic energy in various scenarios, implying insights on time dilation and gravity.
In this paper, we propose a new framework for relativistic kinetic energy—consistent with myprevious works—that involves decomposing relativistic kinetic energy into two terms. The firstone is strictly linked to the concept of classical kinetic energy, which thus increases linearlywith the square of the velocity. The second one is a relativistic term expressing energy as afunction of β = v/c. We show how this term is essentially responsible of time dilationgeneration and its associated gravitational field—or, put differently, for converting relativistickinetic energy into gravitational potential energy. We analyze various scenarios extendingbeyond a vacuum-limited metric and observe the consistency of this approach with all ourprior work that led to it.
