Introduction: Acute appendicitis is one of the most common surgical emergencies. Accurate diagnosis of acute appendicitis needs careful history, and physical evaluation, as the diagnosis is primarily clinical. Material and methods: A cross sectional study was done in 50 patients who underwent emergency appendicectomy for acute appendicitis in a medical college hospital in Shimla.
