The absorption of glycine, serine, threonine, methionine sulfoxide, aspartie acid, asparagine q-glutamiue, isoleucine, and leueine from the rumen was demonstrated using both in vitro and in vivo techniques. Four amino acids not normally present in human blood were found in ruminant blood. These amino acids chromatograph on Dowex 50-X8 similar to phosphoserine and eysteic acid, phosphoethanolamine, and methionine sulfoxide.
