To the best of our knowledge, there is a lack of research on the factors influencing the mental health of queer college students of color (QSOC). Through exploratory factor analysis, we identified four key factors impacting their mental health: life satisfaction, queer alignment, threat of physical violence, and daily discrimination, which accounted for roughly 50% of the cumulative variance. Given the strong factor loadings, reliability estimates, and model fit, it seems that the aforementioned gap in literature is sufficiently addressed. We hope that these results foster positive, inclusive, and affirming campus cultures within higher education.
