Hospital mortality and actuarial survival rates at 1, 2, and 5 yearshard clinical

Cardiac surgery using cardiopulmonary bypass in the elderly provides symptomatic improvement with acceptable mortality for CABG and AVR, but carries a very high risk for MVR.
