Interactive Sandplay Therapy emerged from deeply grounded roots in Nortons' Experiential Play Therapy and Kalffian Sandplay. This client-led process blends the two modalities into a unique experience, improving treatment outcomes. Clients take the lead, inviting therapists to join in their Sandplay trays. What resulted was a transformation not seen in other modalities alone. This led to a new form of therapy where interactions between clients and therapists evolved, resulting in the birth of Interactive Sandplay Therapy.
