Qualitative exploratory study reveals data-driven technologies enhance digital transformation in pharmaceuticals, indicating importance of integration.
This research paper examines the role of data-driven technologies in enabling digital transformation within pharmaceutical organizations. The study adopts a qualitative exploratory and descriptive research design based on secondary data and a Systematic Literature Review approach. The analysis focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, and Business Intelligence, examining their contribution to pharmaceutical research, clinical trials, operational efficiency, data integration, performance monitoring, and decision-making. The study also identifies key barriers to digital transformation, including cybersecurity, legacy-system integration, data governance, implementation costs, regulatory requirements, and organizational readiness. The findings indicate that the greatest value of these technologies emerges through their integration into connected digital ecosystems rather than through isolated technology adoption.
