A low profile dual-band dual-polarized apertureshared antenna/array with beam-scanning ability is proposed for 5G based station applications. A pair of the metal baffles with etched inverted T-shaped slots are employed to improve the radiation characteristics and impedance match of the low-band antenna, leading to a significant reduction of profile from 0.25λL to 0.09λL. The high-band phased array is composed of dual-polarized slot-fed meta-surface antennas, featuring of a low-profile and wideband impedance match. The high-band array exhibits a downtilt of 6 degrees and wide-angle beam-scanning ability in the horizontal plane. To share the aperture and avoid the blockage of the low-band antenna, a FSS formed by Jerusalem Cross slot units are etched in the low-band antenna's radiator. The proposed antenna is prototyped and verified, showing two good impedance bandwidths of 0.69-0.96 GHz and 3.3-3.8 GHz. Besides, the highband array exhibits good scanning performance of ±50 degrees without affecting the low-band antenna.
