A field experiment was carried out at Noakhali Science and Technology University from November 2024 to January 2025 to evaluate the effect of different level doses of biochar & vermicompost on the yield performance of BARI Sarisha-14. The experiment consisted of five treatments of Biochar and Vermicompost such as control (T0), 5 t ha-1 biochar (T1), 5 t ha-1 vermicompost (T2), 3 t ha-1 biochar + 2 t ha-1 vermicompost (T3), 2 t ha-1 biochar + 3 t ha-1 vermicompost (T4). The experiment was designed as Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. Results indicated that all growth & yield parameters responded significantly (p ≤ 0.05) to the treatments. The integrated treatment T₃ (3 t ha-1 biochar + 2 t ha-1 vermicompost) showed the best performance for most studied traits. The maximum plant height (122.9 cm), plant weight (26.8 g), chlorophyll (45.87), number of branches plant-1 (7.1), number of effective siliquae plant-1 (65.1), siliqua length (6.03 cm), number of seeds siliqua-1 (31.9), 1000-seed weight (3.61 g), seed yield (1.78 t ha-1), stover yield (2.41 t ha-1), biological yield (4.19 t ha-1), harvest index (42.36%), oil content (42.02%) were obtained with the application of T3 & the lowest yield was found from T0. So, the experiment indicates that the integrated application of biochar & vermicompost (T3) would be more effective mustard production in Noakhali region.
