Investigates wormhole traversability and energy conditions in f(Q) gravity, suggesting new solutions.
This paper investigates static spherically symmetric traversable wormhole solutions in [Formula: see text] gravity ([Formula: see text] represent the non-metricity scalar, which is responsible for the gravitational interaction). We derived the expression for shape function by using linear [Formula: see text] model to investigate the properties of the wormhole, traversability and energy conditions. The obtained wormhole shape function depends on both the cloud of strings parameters ([Formula: see text]) and model parameters ([Formula: see text], [Formula: see text]). Also, we construct the effective energy conditions to constrain these wormhole solutions by reformulating the expression for energy density, radial and tangential pressures. It is observe that null energy condition (NEC) violates and yield the existence of traversable wormhole solutions for a suitable choice of parameters. We have also studied the quasinormal modes of these wormhole structures for scalar perturbations by considering WKB approximation method. It is concluded that with an increase in parameters [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] the quasinormal frequencies and the damping rate increases non-linearly. On the other hand, for increase in parameter [Formula: see text] the quasinormal frequencies increases linearly while the damping rate decreases linearly.
