This early report demonstrates the preliminary application of multiplanar transesophageal echocardiography and its potential for 3D reconstruction of the left ventricle.
Feasibility shown in one case; leaves open whether multiplanar TEE enables reliable 3D LV reconstruction in practice.
This study presents our preliminary experience in multiplanar transesophageal echocardiography. In addition, an attempt was made in one patient to reconstruct the left ventricle in three dimensions using the sequential planes obtained from the multiplanar approach.
