In a recent review Clough2cites 24 cases to 1950, and the literature to date now totals approximately 60. Even more rare has been the diagnosis in vivo of this syndrome; we have been able to find only six reports.3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8Yet the combination of hemolytic anemia and thrombocytopenic purpura with variable and transient neurologic symptoms should specifically suggest the diagnosis. We wish to report another antemortem diagnosis and the second well documented case...Bibliography1.
