Supports prolonged surveillance after aneurysmal SAH; leaves open optimal imaging frequency and duration.
A 20-year follow-up of aneurysmal SAH survivors shows no recurrent bleeding from treated aneurysms, but a nearly 2% per person-year rate of de novo aneurysm formation or remnant enlargement, suggesting the need for long-term radiological follow-up.
