Case report demonstrates clinical improvement in a patient with tinea cruris following individualized homoeopathic treatment, suggesting a potential role in dermatological management.
Tinea cruris is a common superficial fungal infection that constitutes a significant dermatological health burden, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions. Although individuals may be exposed to similar environmental risk factors, susceptibility to infection varies. This case report describes a 21-year-old man with tinea cruris associated with intense pruritus, which was assessed using the Itch Numeric Rating Scale (Itch-NRS). The patient received individualized homoeopathic treatment and demonstrated clinical improvement within a short duration. Causal attribution between the therapeutic intervention and the clinical outcome was assessed using the Modified Naranjo Criteria for Homoeopathy, with a score of 9. No adverse events were reported during the course of treatment. This case suggests the potential role of individualized homoeopathic treatment in the management of tinea cruris. Further controlled studies are warranted to evaluate its effectiveness.
