Theoretical model proposes an Earth battery and mirror balance mechanism for shallow earthquakes, suggesting crustal thermal energy storage drives seismic and volcanic discharges.
The Original Model - Golden Balance: Earth Battery and 25km Mirror Mechanism for Shallow Earthquakes This research presents the original model of Earth as a battery system operating on a mirror balance principle: 25 km above = 25 km below (3+6+9+7 km). The model focuses on destructive shallow earthquakes (0-25 km) which represent approximately 90% of human losses according to USGS data. It proposes that the porous brittle crust (first 3 km, structured as 3x1km, each 3x333m, each ~100m porous) stores solar thermal energy like a battery. Upon saturation, energy rebounds from the denser transitional layer (3-9 km). Mechanism: Charging > saturation > rebound from 6km > lower 333m boiling > middle 333m ascent (bio-precursor: animal behavior hours before) > upper 333m discharge as earthquake (solid) or volcano (molten) - same mechanism, different phase. Critical addition: Groundwater aquifers act as DUAL BATTERIES (hydraulic + energy storage). Because they exist inside earth pores, they absorb and release energy simultaneously with rock, not just water flow. They charge and discharge together with the crust, acting as hydraulic buffer and energy buffer, with continuous ice-sea-river-aquifer exchange.
