Quatotron method may prevent age-associated diseases by targeting visceral adipose tissue as an aging driver.
Why the study?
Visceral adipose tissue is increasingly recognized as an active endocrine organ regulating metabolism and aging, but its role as an early driver of systemic aging and a meta-environment requires substantiation.

Understanding visceral adipose tissue as an active endocrine meta-environment highlights its role in systemic aging and opens new avenues for preventing age-associated diseases and metabolic syndrome.
Visceral adipose tissue (ILT) has long been considered as a passive depot of energy. However, over the past two decades, the paradigm has changed: BRT is a highly active, distributed endocrine organ that secretes dozens of adipokines, cytokines, and signaling molecules that regulate systemic metabolism, inflammation, immunity, and aging. In contrast to subcutaneous localization, visceral localization (omentum, mesentery, perirenal, epicardially) provides a unique connection with the portal circulation, making its products direct modulators of the liver, pancreas and cardiovascular system. The article substantiates that the VZHT is an active meta-environment No17 that meets all four criteria: ubiquity, functional integrity, communicative nature, and intrinsic pathology. Particular attention is paid to adipose tissue as an early driver of systemic aging: age-related remodeling of ILT (loss of subcutaneous fat, ectopic expansion of visceral depots, adipocyte hypertrophy, fibrosis, immune imbalance) often precedes dysfunction of target organs and triggers a cascade of systemic disorders. Systemic restoration of the VZT in the Quatotron method through multimodal physical action aimed at reducing visceral accumulation, restoring the adipokine profile, suppressing chronic inflammation and improving metabolic adaptability is presented. Understanding OVT as a meta-environment opens up new opportunities for the prevention of age-associated diseases, metabolic syndrome and prolongation of healthy life.

Лагода (2026) conducted a review in Systemic aging and metabolic syndrome. Quatotron method (multimodal physical action) was evaluated. Visceral adipose tissue acts as an active endocrine organ and early driver of systemic aging, which may be targeted by the Quatotron method to prevent age-associated diseases.
