Left femoral access can be successfully used for re-do balloon mitral valvotomy in patients with right lower limb venous abnormalities.
May offer alternative access in re-do BMV with right venous anomalies; leaves open generalizability and safety in larger cohorts.
Successful Re-do balloon mitral valvotomy was done from left femoral access because of abnormality in right lower limb venous system in a patient who underwent BMV in past before 6 years. This is an unusual case of its kind in which redo BMV as a second procedure was done using left femoral vein as an access.
