A ternary host-guest complex composed of two pillar[5]arene derivatives ( WP5 and m -TPEP5 ) and an Eosin Y derivative guest ( WESY ) has been demonstrated to form supramolecular nanoparticles in aqueous solution. These nanoparticles can be used as artificial light-harvesting systems (ALHSs) and efficiently catalyze difluoromethylation reactions in water. Furthermore, the nanoparticles can act as effective energy donor, with Nile Red (NiR) selected as the energy acceptor, resulting in Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) from m -TPEP5-WESY-WP5 to NiR . By accurately adjusting the ratio of donor to acceptor, white light emission can be achieved. Furthermore, the multi-component white light-emitting diode was fabricated by using the m -TPEP5-WESY-WP5-NiR nanoparticles as phosphor. A ternary host-guest complex has been demonstrated to form supramolecular nanoparticles, m - TPEP5 - WESY - WP5 , in aqueous solution. These nanoparticles not only efficiently catalyze difluoromethylation reactions in water but also serve as an effective energy donor for Förster resonance energy transfer, enabling white light emission through energy transfer from m - TPEP5 - WESY - WP5 to NiR .
