Theoretical analysis demonstrates enhanced geometric particle pair-production during inflation under non-minimal coupling, indicating gravity interactions amplify early-universe matter.
In this work, we study particle production in an inflationary scenario, focusing on the geometric mechanism induced by spacetime inhomogeneities. We investigate the effect of a non-minimal coupling between the inflaton and the Ricci scalar for a quadratic benchmark potential. In the weak-coupling regime, we compare negative, vanishing, and positive values of 𝜉. For the adopted parameters, nonzero coupling enhances the squared momentum-space pair-production amplitude relative to the minimally coupled case.
