581 stable patients with angiographically documented coronary artery disease (CAD) and either prior myocardial infarction (at least 12 months ago), type 2 diabetes mellitus, or both. Mean age 64, 79% male. Recruited from the Western Denmark Heart Registry. All treated with 75 mg aspirin once daily. Excluded patients with platelet counts <120x10^9/L or >450x10^9/L.
