Previous reports agree in general on the advantages of a higher breeding efficiency for cows bred more than 60 days after parturition. All research previously published, however, was based on tabulations made from accurate records but without a carefully controlled experinlent to obtain the data. The purpose of the research reported herein was to get additional information under carefully controlled conditions involving only experimental cows with normal reproductive organs, as determined by careful examinations, and with a history of good genital health after parturition.
