Mathematical modeling study reveals that the Eridanus Cold Spot arises from topological phason strain in a quasicrystalline spacetime lattice, indicating it is an elastic defect rather than a...
🇬🇧 Abstract (English) Title: Projection Matrix, Phason Field \ Cold Spot Signature: UCT v6.1.4 Mathematical Formalism Abstract: This paper provides the rigorous mathematical framework underlying the UCT v6.1.4 (Topological Universe-Crystal) model, establishing the direct connection between the global topology of the S³/I^* Poincaré dodecahedral manifold and its underlying icosahedral quasicrystalline sub-lattice at the Planck scale. The first section derives the explicit orthogonal projection matrix Π_∥ : Z⁶ → Tₑ(S³/I^*) tuned to the golden ratio φ, projecting a 6D hypercubic lattice Z⁶ onto the 3D physical tangent space prior to compactification on S³/I^* via the exponential map. The second section details the lattice hydrodynamics, decomposing displacements into phononic fields u (continuous torsion waves) and phasonic fields w (discrete tile-reconfiguration jumps). The phason stress tensor H is formally derived from the elastic free energy density under binary icosahedral symmetry I^*, parameterized by the two fundamental phasonic elastic constants K₁ and K₂. Finally, this formalism is applied to Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) anomalies: the Eridanus Cold Spot is modeled as a topological phason disclination carrying a topological charge Qᵖʰᵃˢᵒⁿⁱᶜ. The coupling between the induced radial phason stress Hrθ and the local torsional rigidity εTanalytically yields the observed local temperature deficit Δ T ≈ -150\ (Δ T/T₀ ≈ -5.5 × 10⁻⁵), demonstrating that the Cold Spot represents a residual phason strain region within the S³/I^* quasicrystalline spacetime mesh rather than a cosmic void.
