Theoretical modeling reveals a quasicrystalline Penrose tiling architecture within the S3/I* manifold, explaining cosmic microwave background anomalies without metric inflation.
🇬🇧 Abstract (English) Title: Integration of Penrose Tiling into the UCT v6.1.4 Model: Quasicrystalline Architecture of the S³/I^*Manifold and Cosmological Signatures Abstract: This theoretical note within the Topological Universe-Crystal framework (UCT v6.1.4) demonstrates that the three-dimensional Penrose tiling (icosahedral quasicrystal) constitutes the natural microscopic spatial architecture of the S³/I^* manifold. By the crystallographic restriction theorem, an aperiodic quasicrystalline order—obtained via projection of a 6D hypercubic lattice (Z⁶) mediated by the golden ratio φ—is the unique geometric solution compatible with icosahedral I^* symmetry at the Planck scale. Integrating this sub-lattice yields three major theoretical advances: Scale Invariance: Self-similarity under scaling by φ geometrically accounts for the primordial perturbation spectral index (nₛ ≈ 0.965) without requiring metric inflation. Phason Dynamics: "Phason" degrees of freedom supply the exact microscopic mechanism for unfreezing the dynamic mass operator M̂ and account for the CMB Eridanus Cold Spot as a residual phason strain zone. Continuous/Discrete Paradox Resolution: The quasicrystalline structure reconciles effective macroscopic isotropy (FLRW metric) with a sharp quasicrystal diffraction pattern at the microscopic scale, offering a mechanical explanation for the alignment of low-multipole CMB anomalies (= 2, 3, the "Axis of Evil"). This formalism provides the missing geometric link connecting Poincaré's global topology to the discrete mechanics of Planck-scale spacetime.
