Previous results for the energy loss per unit path length and inelastic mean free path of an electron with energy less than or equal to 10 keV are modified by including an exchange correction, a sum-rule constraint, and a small relativistic correction. These new results are compared with the previous results, tabulated values, and predictions from ''universal'' formulae for organic solids.
