The behavioral and anticonvulsant activities of an aqueous extract from the root bark of Clausena anisata (Willd.) were investigated in mice. The results obtained demonstrate that the extract depresses the central nervous system (indicated by tranquilization and/or sedation), and possesses a mild to moderate anticonvulsant activity.
