Editorial
Provides an overview of highly cited articles and consensus documents published in Thrombosis and Haemostasis in 2010-2011.
We would like to maintain our tradition to provide a short overview on excellent articles published in Thrombosis and Haemostasis that – based on online search engines – were found to have been highly cited by scientists in 2010–2011, or those felt to merit and be worth highlighting by the Editors. Since 2011, Thrombosis and Haemostasis has served as the official journal of another European research organisation, the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Working Group Atherosclerosis. Our fruitful collaboration with our European and international scientific societies has resulted in the publication of several important consensus documents such as the position paper of the ESC Working Group of Atherosclerosis and Vascular Biology on stabilisation of atherosclerotic plaques (1), and a joint position paper including the ESC Working Group on Thrombosis on the peri-operative management of antiplatelet therapy in patients with CAD (2).
