A method of preparation of a rat adrenal cell suspension is described. The adrenal cell suspension is much more sensitive to the steroidogenic action of ACTH than are adrenal slices or homogenates. The adrenal cell suspension is also efficient in converting exogenous precursors into corticosterone. It is suggested that the adrenal cell suspension might prove to be a versatile tool in adrenal physiology. (Endocrinology82: 1053, 1968)
