of this paper is to present 3 T very similar cases of an unusual type of pituitary neoplasm. In each of the 3, the patient had a chromophobe adenoma at the first operation. Each was treated repeatedly with X irradiation. Subsequent biopsies indicated progressive growth of fibrous tissue stroma, which infiltrated and partially engulfed the adenoma. The mesenchymal element took on the histological aspects of cancer, and although there were no metastases, the final diagnosis in each case was fibrosarcoma of the pituitary gland.
