The authors establish the fact that much education takes place in artificial environments. It becomes necessary for teachers to become more aware of the thermal environment, lighting conditions, ion state and other factors in their classrooms. The authors present an overview of the subject material and give a summary of current conclusions available from research. Throughout the article some useful suggestions have been made to assist teachers in managing the climatic conditions in their classrooms.
