ANALYSIS of the binding of hormones to receptors or other binding proteins represents a considerable proportion of basic and clinical endocrine investigations. In our own survey of the 1987 literature (excluding RIA and enzymology data), 20.7% of the papers published in Endocrinology (137 of 662 articles) and 12.2% of those published in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism (53 of 433 articles) involved saturation, Scatchard, or other methods of binding analysis.
