Intelligent Transporting Systems (ITS) are designed for providing mobile communications and road side assistance for vehicles. ITS assimilates information and communication technology and real time vehicles securely for reliable and privacy preserved communications. The user privacy relies on the service demand and intruder-less scenario prevailing in the network. For retaining the user privacy over a sustainable period, this paper introduces a contained privacy preserving scheme (CPPS). The proposed scheme defines regulations for user access based on vehicle’s privacy level. This provides a feasible solution for granting controlled service access without increasing the adversary exposure overhead. The service access grant and user permission revocation are determined by a state learning classifier. The learning method defines different vehicle states, preventing privacy leakage and intruder impact using different security features. In the state-allocation, the vehicle’s requirement and service access failures are considered for maximizing communication rate. The performance of the proposed scheme is analyzed using the metrics access time, adversary impact, response time and service endurance.
