The ionic conductivity of pure and LaF3 as well as KF doped BaF2 crystals was investigated between room temperature and 900°C. The conductivity and disorder parameters were newly determined and verified. Due to the neighbourhood of a fluorine ion vacancy the oscillation frequency of the fluorine ions is reduced by a factor of 0.79 and is increased in interstitial positions by a factor of 2.46.
