Literature review demonstrates an interdependent link between physical movement and speech acquisition in preschool children, highlighting shared neurophysiological mechanisms.
Introduction. The article examines the issue of the importance of motor activity for the timely and harmonious development of a preschool child's personality, in particular, his speech competence. An analysis of the current state of the problem of the relationship between the child's motor and speech development was carried out.The purpose of the theoretical research was to determine the neurophysiological and mental foundations of speech and physical development of preschool children.Research methods: analysis and generalization of data from scientific and methodical literature; system analysis method; historical and logical method; descriptive method; comparative method.Research results: the analysis of the researches of domestic and foreign scientists on the specified issues made it possible to find out that: various analyzers participate in the organization of the functioning of the speech apparatus; one of the main roles in the development of speech is played by the formation and improvement of fine motility of the hand and fingers; successful mastery of the necessary motor skills is impossible without the participation of the speech apparatus; the main role in the development of speech is played by physical development, since it is the physiological basis of neuropsychological development.Conclusions.The analysis of these literary sources allows us to confirm the neuropsychological and neurolinguistic provisions regarding the activation of children's speech when performing motor actions, as well as our assumption, which concerns the interconnected development of motor and speech acts in children.
