X-ray diffraction and Mössbauer effect are measured for Fe1-xTix alloys produced by vapor quenching. The amorphous phase is realized for 0.2 < x < 0.75, while the single b.c.c. phases of α-Fe-type and β-Ti-type for x < 0.2 and x > 0.8, respectively. The average value of the quadrupole splitting and the isomer shift gradually vary with the increase in x, while they discontinuously change at the phase boundaries of about x = 0.2 and 0.75, confirming the results of X-ray diffraction measurements.
