The dispersion of the radial eigenmodes of a cylindrical m = 1 whistler wave with Ω i ; ≪ ω < Ω e ≪ ω pe is investigated for both conducting and insulating boundaries. The effects of electron inertia and resistivity on the modes are discussed.
